| Comment | The one thing I REALLY remember is the "Azores Oil Spill" we (the shipboard oil people) created by accidently pushing the oil we were taking on while tied up at the pier, overnight, and pumping it directly into the bay at the same time. The next 36 hours we did a whole lot of cleanup. What a mess! A blackeye definitely for the captain, and the people involved. But, at least, the crew got new clothes out of it, to replace what we used during the cleanup. |
